Samuel Busby papers, 1834-1846.

This collection includes two commissions in the English Army conferring the rank of Adjutant granted to Busby by William IV (1834) and Queen Victoria (1838); a copy of general orders granting Adjutant Busby a one year leave of absence to return to England to recover from health issues; and a letter dated January 9, 1846 recommending Busby as a man of excellent character, signed by Lieut. Col. Tripp of the 98th Infantry.
